Christian persecution and genocide is worse now than “any time in history,” report says

The persecution and genocide of Christians across the world is worse today “than at any time in history,” and Western governments are failing to stop it, a report from a Catholic organization said.
The study by Aid to the Church in Need said the treatment of Christians has worsened substantially in the past two years compared with the two years prior, and has grown more violent than any other period in modern times.
“Not only are Christians more persecuted than any other faith group, but ever-increasing numbers are experiencing the very worst forms of persecution,” the report said.
The report examined the plight of Christians in China, Egypt, Eritrea, India, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria and Turkey over the period lasting from 2015 until 2017. The research showed that in that time, Christians suffered crimes against humanity, and some were hanged or crucified. The report found that Saudi Arabia was the only country where the situation for Christians did not get worse, and that was only because the situation couldn’t get any worse than it already was. The authors criticized the administration of President Donald Trump for not holding Saudi Arabia accountable for its human rights violations and instead focusing on the trade relationship between the two nations. In May 2017, Trump signed a $110 billion arms deal with Saudi Arabia during his first overseas trip in office.
The report put special focus on Middle Eastern countries like Iraq and Syria, where the authors argued Christians would have been entirely wiped out if it weren’t for military action and the assistance of Christian humanitarian organizations, like Aid to the Church in Need.

The report, which was released in November 2017 but received renewed attention this week, is based on research in the countries and testimony from victims. It detailed attacks against Coptic Christians in Egypt and monasteries burned in Syria.
In Africa, the report focused on countries like Sudan, where the government ordered that churches be destroyed, and Nigeria, where ISIS-affiliated groups like Boko Haram have led a surge in attacks on Christians. In Eritrea, hundreds of Christians have been rounded up and imprisoned over the past year because of their faith.

“A Christian pastor in India was left in a coma after being beaten in a ‘planned’ attack apparently carried out by Hindutva extremists,” the report noted. “Before slipping into unconsciousness, the pastor told police that the attack was religiously motivated.”
“You must never come to our village to pray. You should never enter our village,” the men told the pastor, according to the report.
In late October, Vice President Mike Pence pledged that the Trump administration would redirect aid money formerly given to the United Nations to the U.S. Agency for International Development, a move that was meant to appease Christian organizations that say the U.N. isn’t doing enough for persecuted Christians.
A New Study Blows Up Old Ideas About Girls and Boys

If
there are superstar scholars, Berkeley professor Judith Butler is a
superstar. She is best known for pioneering the idea that “male” and
“female” are merely social constructs. She writes that “because
gender is not a fact, the various acts of gender creates the idea of
gender, and without those acts, there would be no gender at all.”
For this insight, she has been rewarded with an avalanche of scholarly
honors and prizes, including the Mellon Prize, which carries with it a
$1.5 million cash award. (By comparison, the Nobel Prize gets you just
$1.1 million.)
The worldview promulgated by Butler, Fine, and their followers now
constrains what neuroscientists are allowed to say in public. A
professor of neurophysiology at Lund University in Sweden recently told
undergraduates that the categories of female and male are, to some
degree, biological realities rather than social constructs and that some
differences in behavior between women and men might, therefore, have a
biological basis. He was promptly denounced by students who claimed that his remarks were “anti-feminist.” The dean of the medical school duly launched an investigation.
I have debated this topic with followers of Butler and Fine in
various settings. When I share with them research showing, for example, robust female/male differences in the trajectories of brain development, the most common response is sheer ignorance of the finding in question. It is unusual for a devotee of Butler to say, “Yes, I am aware of that research. However, I consider that research invalid because of XYZ.”
Instead, they more often claim that the research must be meaningless
because it involved children or adults. Children and adults have spent
years being subject to the heteronormative patriarchy. Parents
interact differently with girls and boys from the moment of birth,
these critics (correctly) observe. So any study of adults, or even of
children, is hopelessly marred by the sexist societies in which we all
live.
Fair enough. For the sake of argument, let's grant that point. So let’s study humans before birth.
In recent years, there have been fascinating studies in which
neuroscientists have studied the brains of babies in their mothers’
wombs. One remarkable study was a collaboration among neuroscientists at Yale, Johns Hopkins, and the National Institute of Mental Health,
alongside neuroscientists from Germany, the UK, Croatia, and
Portugal—more than 20 researchers in all. These investigators looked at
how individual genes are transcribed in the human brain from the prenatal period through infancy, childhood, adolescence, and throughout adulthood. They found that the biggest female/male difference in gene transcription in the human brain, for many genes, is in the prenatal period. (See for example their graph of the transcription of the IGF2 gene, a gene known to be involved in cognition:
male/female differences in transcription for IGF2 are huge in the
prenatal period, and nonexistent among adults.) Again, I have not yet
found an advocate of the Butler/Fine school who is even aware of this
research, let alone responded to it. If the Butler/Fine theory was
correct — if gendered differences in brain and behavior are primarily a
social construct, and not hardwired — then we ought to see zero
differences between the female brain and the male brain in the prenatal
period, but large differences between adults, who after all have had the
misfortune of living all their lives in a heteronormative patriarchy.
But the reality is just the opposite: Female/male differences are
generally largest in the prenatal period, and those differences diminish
with age, often dwindling to zero among adults.
Now we have another, even more, striking study of the human brain
prior to birth. In this study, American researchers managed to do MRI
scans of pregnant
mothers in the second and third trimesters, with sufficient resolution
to image the brains of the babies inside the uterus. They found dramatic differences between female and male fetuses.
For example, female fetuses demonstrated significant changes in
connectivity between subcortical and cortical structures in the brain,
as a function of gestational age. This pattern “was almost completely
non-existent in male fetuses”. They note that others have found, for
example, that female infants have significantly greater brain volume in the prefrontal cortex compared with males.
They conclude that “It seems likely that these volumetric differences
[found after birth] are mirrored by [the] differences observed in the
present study.”

Some of the sex
differences in the new study are truly amazing. See for example
the image above (figure 4A from their paper) showing differences in
female connections between the left cerebellum (CB) and the left
superior frontal gyrus (SFG), and between the left temporal pole and the
posterior cingulate cortex (PCC) compared with males. Remember, these
are fetuses in utero! In other brain areas, the differences were not so
striking. A reasonable next question might be: Why do these brain areas,
and not others, show such dramatic female/male differences? Another
reasonable question would be: Why haven’t the mainstream media in the United States covered this new research?

official WhiteHouse.gov website by the POTUS is an extremely amateur and
low-quality forgery.
This professional opinion has now been rendered by some of the best
experts in the field of forensic document analysis. These digital
document specialists are in complete agreement that the birth
certificate presented by President Obama is 100% fraudulent.
They have even gone on to prove that it was fabricated using another
birth certificate which belonged to Hawaiian Johanna Ah’Nee. The
following video quite clearly demonstrates how Obama’s forger pieced the
fake BC document together layer by layer.
That the crudely forged BC document was so easily deconstructed
immediately gave rise to suspicions throughout the entire field of
criminal document forensics. Many an expert has stepped forward over
the years to render their respective opinions about the bogus BC. Many
have remarked that it was a unusually transparent attempt to pass off a
fake BC copy as a reproduction of Obama’s original COLB (Certificate of
Live Birth), which incidentally has never been made public.
BC criminal activity constitutes a series of felonies
Given the new conclusive evidence, it is now clear that the POTUS has
formally filed and posted a fraudulent BC with the explicit intention
to deceive the American people. Likewise, the DNC is responsible for the
deliberate breakdown in their POTUS vetting process of Barack Obama.
The DNC leadership quite purposefully (and criminally) permitted an
imposter to run for president, not once but twice.
Therefore, there will be many Democrat VIPs who have committed
misprision of felony at the minimum and are also guilty of participating
in a massive conspiracy to deceive the American people of Barack
Obama’s qualifications to run for president.
This ongoing conspiracy and cover-up runs both very deep and very
broad within the Democratic Party and Executive Branch. It also
involves the leadership of the Republican Congress since many throughout
the House and the Senate were handed evidence of the documented crimes,
and yet did absolutely nothing about it.
This Maricopa County investigation has been very well publicized for
several years now and public servants at different levels of government
have been intimately made aware of the criminal activity involved. Not
one single government official has moved to call for an appropriate
hearing or investigation. This continued negligence alone constitutes
misprision of felony, and therefore forms a legal basis for the removal
of much of the U.S. Congress.
Constitutional Crisis
As President Barack Obama winds down his second term, he leaves the
United States of America mired in a profound constitutional crisis. • Every executive order that he signed is now null and void. • Every international treaty that he signed is null and void. • Every piece of legislation that he signed is null and void. Simply put, the sitting POTUS failed to legally fulfill the most
basic qualification to run for the highest office in the land. More
importantly, a number of serious felonies were committed to successfully
attain the Office of the President. There will be severe consequences to go all around. And
President-elect Trump is bound by law — especially by the relevant
federal statutes — to have the FBI and DOJ fully investigate and
prosecute these crimes against the American people.
8 Cases That Show the FBI and CIA Were Out of Control Long Before Russiagate | Jon Miltimore, Carey Wedler

Conservatives
tend to have two bad habits. First, they’re prone to viewing the past
through a nostalgic lens. Second, they tend to instinctively give law
enforcement the benefit of the doubt. These tendencies help
explain why conservatives for decades have been able to overlook the
many abuses—constitutional, legal, and moral—of US intelligence
agencies. Government bureaucrats were out of control long before the 2016 presidential election. These
revelations are unique in that they have become highly public and
involve a sitting president. However, an examination of the history of
US intelligence agencies reveals government bureaucrats were out of
control long before the 2016 presidential election. It’s no secret that the US government soughtto assassinate Fidel Castro for years. Less well known, however, was that part of their regime-change plot included a plan to blow up Miami and sinking a boat-full of innocent Cubans.
The plan, which was revealed in 2017 when the National Archives declassified 2,800 documents from the JFK era, was a collaborative
effort that included the CIA, the State Department, the Department of
Defense, and other federal agencies that sought to brainstorm strategies
to topple Castro and sow unrest within Cuba. One of those plans
included Operation Northwoods, submitted to the CIA by General Lyman
Lemnitzer on behalf of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. It summarized nine
“pretexts” the CIA and US government could employ to justify military
intervention in Cuba. One of the official CIA documents shows officials
musing about staging a terror campaign (“real or simulated”) and blaming
it on Cuban refugees.
“We could develop a Cuban Communist terror
campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities and even in
Washington,” the Operation Mongoose document says.
The terror campaign could be pointed at Cubans refugees seeking haven
in the United States. We could sink a boatload of Cubans en route to
Florida (real or simulated.) We could foster attempts on lives of Cuban
refugees in the United States... Exploding a few plastic bombs in
carefully chosen spots.
Ultimately, the broader Mongoose effort failed
to remove Castro from power or effectively establish an infiltration
within Cuba, though the CIA did engage in several sabotage operations.
Mongoose was suspended and ultimately discontinued amid the Cuban
Missile Crisis.
2. In 2014 the CIA Was Caught Red-Handed Spying on the Senate Intelligence Committee
In the summer of 2014, the CIA’s inspector general concluded that the
CIA had “improperly” spied on US Senate staffers who were researching
the agency’s black history of torture. As the New York Timesreported:
An internal investigation by the C.I.A. has found that its officers
penetrated a computer network used by the Senate Intelligence Committee
in preparing its damning report on the C.I.A.’s detention and
interrogation program.
And that’s not the worst part. The Times goes on to note
that CIA officers didn’t just read the emails of the Senate
investigators. They also sent “a criminal referral to the Justice
Department based on false information.” John Brennan, CIA director from 2013-2017, insisted during Senate
hearings these were “very limited inappropriate actions” and that “the
actions of the CIA were reasonable." Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Oregon) disagreed.
"That’s not what the Inspector General [concluded],” Wyden said.
“When you’re talking about spying on a committee responsible for
overseeing your agency, in my view that undermines the very checks and
balances that protect our democracy, and it’s unacceptable in a free
society. And your compatriots in all your sister agencies agree with
that."
Brennan, who publicly lied about the episode, was not punished and even retained his security clearance until Aug. 15, 2018.
3. The FBI’s “Suicide Letter” to MLK and His Wife
Before he had a day named in his honor and a monument on the National
Mall, the government viewed Martin Luther King Jr. very much as a
threat. In fact, his message of peace, love, equality, and civil
disobedience had the FBI so scared that agents actually sent King and
his wife a package containing a strange letter and tape recording. It
contained details of the civil rights activist’s sexual indiscretions
and encouraged him to kill himself.
In 1961, the FBI learned that Stanley Levison, a known “Red,” had
become a close advisor to King. The following year, Bobby Kennedy
approved wiretaps on Levison’s home and office, surveillance that would
eventually expand. It turns out that J. Edgar Hoover stumbled on to
MLK’s busy sex life while investigating King.
“Hoover found out very little about any Communist subterfuge,” wrote Yale historian Beverly Gage in the New York Times in 2014, “but he did begin to learn about King’s extramarital sex life….” The FBI apparently had no scruples about using the information to try
to bring King down. James Comey, Gage writes, used to keep a copy of
the King wiretap request on his desk “as a reminder of the bureau’s
capacity to do wrong.”
4. The CIA Forced Prisoners to Participate in Mind Control Experiments in the 1950s
If you’ve never heard of Project MKUltra, you might find it hard to
believe. Also known as “the CIA Mind Control Program,” the effort was
launched by the agency in 1953. The program used drug experiments on
humans, oftentimes on prisoners who were tested against their will or in
exchange for early release. The experiments were undertaken so CIA
agents could better understand how to extract information from enemies
during interrogations. Here is a description from the History Channel:
MK-Ultra’s “mind control” experiments generally centered around
behavior modification via electro-shock therapy, hypnosis, polygraphs,
radiation, and a variety of drugs, toxins, and chemicals. These
experiments relied on a range of test subjects: some who freely
volunteered, some who volunteered under coercion, and some who had
absolutely no idea they were involved in a sweeping defense research
program. From mentally-impaired boys at a state school, to American
soldiers, to “sexual psychopaths” at a state hospital, MK-Ultra’s
programs often preyed on the most vulnerable members of society. The CIA
considered prisoners especially good subjects, as they were willing to
give consent in exchange for extra recreation time or commuted
sentences. Whitey Bulger, a former organized crime boss, wrote of his experience
as an inmate test subject in MK-Ultra. “Eight convicts in a panic and
paranoid state,” Bulger said of the 1957 tests at the Atlanta
penitentiary where he was serving time. “Total loss of appetite.
Hallucinating. The room would change shape. Hours of paranoia and
feeling violent. We experienced horrible periods of living nightmares
and even blood coming out of the walls. Guys turning to skeletons in
front of me. I saw a camera change into the head of a dog. I felt like I
was going insane.”
How was any of this legal? Well, it wasn’t, which is why the CIA
understood it had to be concealed from the American public at all costs. "Precautions must be taken not only to protect operations from
exposure to enemy forces but also to conceal these activities from the
American public in general,” wrote a
CIA auditor. “The knowledge that the agency is engaging in unethical
and illicit activities would have serious repercussions in political and
diplomatic circles."
5. The FBI’s Systemic Forensic Fraud in Crime Labs
In the early 1990s, Dr. Frederic Whitehurst,
an attorney and chemist who worked at the FBI as a Supervisory Special
Agent, noticed troubling practices in the in the bureau’s Investigation
Laboratory.
There were “alterations of reports, alterations of evidence, folks
testifying outside their areas of expertise in courts of law,” said Whitehurst.
“[Really] what was going on was human rights violations. We have a
right to fair trials in this country… And that’s not what was going on
at the FBI lab.”
An untold number of people have been convicted with the help of tainted evidence—evidence the DOJ knew was tainted.
In 1994, he blew the whistle on the “systemic forensic fraud” he
witnessed. Nothing happened. So he took his case to the Department of
Justice. The FBI didn’t like that. Whitehurst was eventually chased out
of the Bureau, but not before winning a $1.16 million settlement. Unfortunately, however, the wheels of justice turn slowly at the Bureau. “It wasn’t until ten years later that Whitehurst was finally
vindicated,” notes the National Whistleblower Legal Defense and
Education Fund note, “when a scathing 500+ page study of the lab by the
Justice Department Inspector General, Michael Bromwich, concluded major
reforms were required in the lab.” But by then, an untold number of people had been convicted with the help of tainted evidence—evidence the DOJ knew was tainted.
In 2012 the Washington Postpublished an
extensive review of the FBI and DOJ failures to properly review the
cases impacted by the FBI lab scandal, based on Whitehurst’s research. As a result, the DOJ agreed to conduct yet another review of hair
cases in collaboration with the Innocence Project and the National
Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL).
3,000 cases were identified by the government that had used microscopic hair analysis from FBI examiners.
500 have been reviewed as of March 2015.
268 included pro-prosecution testimony from FBI examiners.
257 (96 percent) contained erroneous statements from “FBI experts”.
At least 35 of these cases involved convicted criminals who received
the death penalty, according to the National Whistleblower Legal Defense
and Education Fund.
6. Operation Midnight Climax: Drugging Unsuspecting Johns and Filming their Interactions with Prostitutes
In the 1950s and early 1960s, the CIA admitted to operating a “bawdy
house” in a San Francisco apartment where “unsuspecting citizens were
lured… for the CIA’s drug experiments,” according to a local news story
report documented by the agency. “Private citizens were taken to the bordello by $100 prostitutes and drugged without their knowledge, usually with LSD,” the San Francisco Examiner reported
in 1977 after the CIA admitted to the operation. Agents sat behind a
two-way mirror and filmed the interactions between the drugged men and
prostitutes. Then-CIA director Stansfield Turner suggested the operation was
intended to understand how drugs could potentially be used against the
American people, though he called the experiments “abhorrent” and
acknowledged it was “inexplicable” that the CIA would do this without
the subjects’ consent. He insisted the agency had ceased the experiments
12 years prior. In a 1977 Senate testimony, CIA agents said the purpose
of the experiments was to “learn about thought control and sexual
behavior,” the Examiner noted.
7. The FBI Has Routinely Staged Acts of Terrorism
In the wake of 9/11, the FBI has, on numerous occasions, targeted
unstable and mentally ill individuals, sending informants to bait them
into committing terror attacks. Before these individuals can actually
carry out the attack, however, the Bureau intervenes, presenting the
foiled plot to the public as a successfully thwarted attack. In 2011, journalist Glenn Greenwald summarized several examples of this deceitful tactic:
[T]he FBI subjected 19-year-old Somali-American Mohamed Osman Mohamud to months of encouragement, support and money
and convinced him to detonate a bomb at a crowded Christmas event in
Portland, Oregon, only to arrest him at the last moment and then issue a
Press Release boasting of its success. In late 2009,
the FBI persuaded and enabled Hosam Maher Husein Smadi, a 19-year old
Jordanian citizen, to place a fake bomb at a Dallas skyscraper and
separately convinced Farooque Ahmed, a 34-year-old naturalized American
citizen born in Pakistan, to bomb the Washington Metro.
8. The CIA’s Media Manipulation Campaigns
From the agency’s earliest days, it has attempted to control the flow of information to the public. In his book Legacy of Ashes: A History of the CIA, former New York Times journalist Tim Weiner documented how much influence the agency’s first civilian director, Allen Dulles, had among major media companies:
Dulles kept in close touch with the men who ran The New York Times, The Washington Post,
and the nation’s leading weekly magazines. He could pick up the phone
and edit a breaking story, make sure an irritating foreign correspondent
was yanked from the field, or hire the services of men such as Time’s Berlin bureau chief and Newsweek’s man in Tokyo.
Weiner noted, “It was second nature for Dulles to plant stories in
the press. American newsrooms were dominated by veterans of the
government’s wartime propaganda branch, the Office of War Information.”
During his time at the agency, Dulles “built a public-relations and
propaganda machine that came to include more than fifty news
organizations, a dozen publishing houses, and personal pledges of
support from men such as Axel Springer, West Germany’s most powerful
press baron.” In 1977, Carl Bernstein further exposed the CIA’s efforts to influence news organization in an article for Rolling Stone
in which he revealed that “more than 400 American journalists...in the
past twenty‑five years have secretly carried out assignments for the
Central Intelligence Agency, according to documents on file at CIA
headquarters.”
The Lesson
Amid the media and political establishment’s ongoing, frenzied
coverage of Russia-gate, Americans are eager to pin guilt on the
president have shown a willingness to trust the CIA and FBI without
question despite numerous past and present reasons to be skeptical of
their conclusions. Considering the CIA’s long history of intervening in
other countries’ elections and governments, it is particularly ironic
that their claims of Russia’s meddling in the US’ democracy are taken at
face value. The survival of liberty depends on skepticism of government power—and make no mistake, that includes President Trump.
Nor is the corruption and deceit limited to the FBI and CIA. Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper lied
to lawmakers and the public in 2013 when he claimed NSA did not collect
any type of data on “millions or hundreds of millions of Americans.” He
was caught red-handed months later when whistleblower Edward Snowden
revealed the extent of the agency’s mass surveillance operations.
The survival of liberty depends on skepticism of government power—and
make no mistake, that includes President Trump. But in light of these
federal agencies’ chronic tendency to engage in behavior wholly
inconsistent with American values, the same distrust must be applied to
the institutions that claim to shed light on abuses by unpopular
leaders.
"They wanted to do an insurance policy against me, it was Subversion, it was Treason, it was really Treason . . . if I had done this to Obama . . . if the Republicans had done this to the Democrats it would be considered Treason and you would have hundreds of people who would be in jail for the rest of their lives, but it worked out the other way . . . really it's a horrible situation and an incredible outcome and we will have to see where it all started. But, I'm going to leave that to other people including the Attorney General and others to make that determination, but it's very, very important for our country to know because in fifty years from now, in a hundred years from now if somebody tries the same thing they have to know that the penalty will be very very great if and when they get caught." _ President Donald Trump, Tuesday, March 26, on FOX-Hannity.
He is talking about making an example, "they have to know that the penalty will be very very great . . . when they get caught." How can that be and the present coup-plotters not be severely punished? He is talking about the restoration of equal justice under the law. He points out, first, the inequity, the flaunting of the rule of law by those who had coronated themselves as "the ruling class", who saw themselves and ACTED as if they were "above the law"; those same people the coup plotters, which includes Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama as Trump dubbs them "people at the highest levels" - who was at the highest levels when the evil insurance policy plot was hatched? That is why he said, "we will have to see where it all started" - the man is a genius word-weaver, while he speaks using simple words in massive run-on sentences.

Trump has disarmed AIPAC (The American Israeli Political Action Committee) for a period by recognizing Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel and moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, the LAST THING the Zionist wanted.
Trump pushed AIPAC back again by stating that Israel's Sovereignty over the Golan Heights should be recognized, another thing the Zionist DID NOT WANT. Israel's hold and possession of the Golan Heights is already “un-challenged” meaning it is de-facto Israeli territory. But that is Trump's surface moves as he has attacked every Judeo-Luciferian covert system of control, via executive order after executive order, and literally going to war with the CIA-Mossad in the Middle EAST and BEATING THEM.
Every anti-corruption move he makes, challenges Zionist rule, and whether or not you can comprehend it, even his attack on Colleges and Universities that are stifling Free Speech, is a push back against the Judeo-Luciferians . . . after all, where do you think this Marxist Politically Correct Cancer comes from? And in him focusing on Free Speech, he is pushing back against the frontal assault on Free Speech by the Israeli Lobby, presently in full swing. They have suggested that to even mention the idea of “Dual Citizenship in a negative light should be banned as "hate speech." That will never happen. The fact that presently we have 38 dual citizens serving in Congress, is foolishness indeed and a national shame. This has to stop.
I recently saw an article by a Jewish writer trying to explain why Jesus' words about “not being able to serve two masters” does not apply to duel national citizenship. He never mentioned Israel in his article of course, but common sense says you that you cannot be totally loyal to two nations if ever their interests diverge.
Now over 40 years, HUNDREDS of times the interests of American and the interests of the Zionists have been diametrically opposite and every time, every instance until Trump, the Zionist WON. The Position of the Serbian Orthodox Church on the Church Crisis in Ukraine
Last November the Serbian Orthodox Church was the first among the autocephalous churches to officially react at the highest level, (i.e. the Holy Assembly of Bishops) to the intentions of His Holiness the Patriarch of Constantinople who, according to his own findings and in a self-willed manner wanted to “decide” and “resolve” the church problems in Ukraine as the “first without equals” (primus sine paribus) - and not as the “first among equals” (primus inter pares) which is, in fact, the centuries-old Orthodox ecclesiological and canonical principle - and we pleaded with him not to do so, but rather that he, in fraternal dialogue with the Russian Orthodox Church and in consultation with the other Churches, actually help to resolve this crisis.
Unfortunately, the voice of the Serbian Church has remained a “voice crying in the wilderness”: no response came from Constantinople – just deathly silence. Later, the Holy Synod of the Serbian Church addressed Constantinople with a new appeal not to rush, but to act in the spirit of conciliarity, brotherly love and responsibility not only in regard to the Church in Ukraine, but for Orthodox unity as a whole. The reaction was the same – deadly silence. Then in Thessaloniki His Holiness the Serbian Patriarch personally, verbally, begged His All-Holiness the Patriarch of Constantinople in the same manner – which, unfortunately, resulted in the same. It should be noted that on each occasion the Serbian Church conveyed her position and steps taken to all the other local sister Churches.
After all that the Patriarchate of Constantinople has done in Kiev - and Kiev is, as is well known, “the mother of all Russian cities” - the position of the Serbian Church, which has also been communicated to all the local Orthodox Churches, is the following:
1. The Serbian Orthodox Church does not recognize the uncanonical “intrusion” by His Holiness the Patriarch of Constantinople into the canonical territory of the Most Holy Russian Church, given that the Kiev Metropolitanate cannot in any way be identified with the current “Ukraine”, which is made up of dozens of other dioceses. It was transferred to the Moscow Patriarchate in1686, which can be concluded on the basis of documents from Patriarch Dionysius IV of Constantinople, from decisions made by his successors, and by the “Taktika”, “Syntagma”, Diptychs, “Calendars”, and “Almanacs” issued since then, not only by other Churches, but also by the Patriarchate of Constantinople itself, and, furthermore, even from personal statements and declaration made by the current Patriarch of Constantinople, up until April of 2018.
2. Also, the Serbian Orthodox Church does not recognize the artificial “confederation” of Ukrainian schismatic groups (which are already opposing each other and are irresistibly heading for division), proclaimed as the “autocephalous Church of Ukraine”, since this church is non-existent canonically, and in reality was forcibly imposed. The schismatics have remained schismatics. Once a schismatic, always a schismatic, except in cases of sincere conversion and profound repentance. The only Church in this given case recognized by the Serbian Church is the Ukrainian Orthodox Church headed by His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and All Ukraine.
3. The Serbian Orthodox Church does not recognize the Kievian, ostensibly “unifying,” council, in which none of the hierarchs of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church participated (since a day earlier the titular Metropolitan Alexandar Drabinko and Metropolitan of Vinnitsa Simeon were received into the jurisdiction of the Church of Constantinople, and that without a canonical release from their Church). The whole scenario and everything that took place backstage of this strange gathering, which is not unknown to the public, is a cause for disbelief and sadness in the souls of Orthodox Christians throughout the world. In actuality, this is an anti-unifying pseudo-council which separates and breaks apart and has dug a deeper hole of estrangement and disintegration of society in the unfortunate country of Ukraine. Because of all this, the Serbian Orthodox Church regards its decisions as anti-canonical and not valid, and as such, not binding for the Serbian Orthodox Church.
4. The Serbian Orthodox Church does not recognize the schismatic hierarchy as an Orthodox hierarchy, nor the schismatic clergy as Orthodox clergy, given that the members of Denysenko’s group received their “church hypostasis” from a defrocked, excommunicated and anathematized hierarch (this fact was, at the time, recognized by the Ecumenical Patriarch himself), and that the members of the Maletich sect have neither apostolic succession nor priesthood in general. No official decree, no, as they say “stroke of the pen”, can change something which has happened into something that did not happen, nor create something which did not exist. Therefore, the Serbian Orthodox Church does not accept that Mr. Dumenko (called Epiphanius) is a hierarch, let alone the presiding hierarch of an autocephalous church (this last title is not given him even by his “spiritual father”, Mr. Denysenko, the “actual presiding hierarch” and moreover, lifetime “patriarch”).
5. Finally, the Serbian Orthodox Church is, by necessity, forced to cease liturgical and canonical communion not only with Mr. Epiphanius Dumenko and his followers, but also with the hierarchs and clergy who concelebrate and enter into communion with them, in accordance with the canonical principal that he who enter into communion with someone who is outside of communion places himself outside communion.
With grief and sadness over the broken unity of the Holy Orthodox Catholic Church, the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church, again beseeches His All Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew to revise his previous decisions and to reestablish the former blessed love and unity of the local holy Churches of God. Nothing is more necessary nor more precious than love, peace and like-mindedness among brethren.
