Help for my Daughter Kathy

Just Now
To be quite blunt, my daughter Kathy is in the final stages of terminal cancer. Kevin her husband is an independent long haul truck driver. Through her employer, Marietta Drapery, we are raising money so that Kevin can remain home for the next couple of months and not lose his truck and destroy his business.

Kevin has been home with her for the last month, she can no longer be alone. She has requested to repose in their beautiful cabin in the North Georgia Mountains surrounded by her family and her favorite bears. When you give to a public charity most of the money doesn't go to the cause you intend, the same goes sadly for church donations.

The human resources manager at Marietta Drapery started this without Kevin or Kathy's knowledge. Yesterday, Kathy said to me, "Dad, is this okay? Is this just vulgar?" I said, "No, Sweetheart, this is an opportunity for some good people and some not so good people to do a truly good thing. You deserve dignity and your husband and family by your side, and no matter what it takes we are not going to let you die in a hospital with beeping machines and sadistic staff." And trust me we have had much experience with both Holy Spirit filled hospital staff, and purely Satanic Sadists.

God's mercy on Kevin and Kathy, and you and me.

P.S., I told Kathy yesterday what I am telling you now: I have never seen a person approach death with such love for other and dignity. Our last family meal together Kathy was smiling, joking, laughing, loving. I thought, this is it, maybe the last time we get to share a meal together. So I started taking a video of the people at the table. When I got to Kathy's chair she was not there, she was up, smiling taking selfies with everyone at the table, giving them that permanent memory all smiles and beautiful. In fact, she looked so good no one at the restaurant who was not family would have ever guessed she was ill. But she was very sick, as we all ate she could not share the meal. I could hear the words of the Gretchen Peters song, "The Cure for the Cure is the Pain." It has a line that says, "It’s not like you think it’s gonna be Not like the movies that you see Ain’t no soaring violins Just machines and medicine So bless these pills, n bless these sheets Bless this food that you can’t eat Bless the damned who walk these halls God have mercy on us all" Kathy Kay Robinson Davis is one of the most amazing people I have ever met.
